Tour Itinerary

Day: 1 Arrive at Srinagar

This is the day on which you arrive at Srinagar. You will be welcomed by our representative who will then take you to the Jetty Boulevard. As soon as you arrive you will be transferred to the houseboat where you will be served lunch. In the evening you will be treated to an hour-long ride with your loved one in a shikara on the beautiful Dal Lake. Dinner will be served on the well-appointed houseboat which will also be your home for the night.

DAY: 2 Gulmarg

After your breakfast you will check out of the houseboat at Srinagar and proceed to Gulmarg. Gulmarg is a hill station that is located at an elevation of 8825 feet. The elevation provides breathtaking views of the landscape. You will be able to see picturesque locales like the Golf Course. If have a passion for golfing, you can avail the services of the caddies who will also provide you with the golf kit (the golf kit and caddies charges are not included in your package). Another exhilarating activity is the Gondola ride up to the Khilanmarg snow point. The cable car system is built in two stages. Stage one is for tourists and the stage two which is further up is for skiers.

Please note that the availability of the gondola ride is subject to the weather condition. (The Gondola ride will be charged extra). Lunch will be served at the Gulmarg hotel which is where you will also be having dinner. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

DAY: 3 Pahalgam

After breakfast you will check out of the Gulmarg Hotel and proceed to Pahalgam, or the ‘village of shepherds’, yet another popular tourist destination. Pahalgam is situated at an elevation of 8989 feet. You can either relax in the hotels enjoying the view or indulge yourself in some water rafting. Pahalgam is also the entry point for the Amarnath caves during the pilgrimage season. The Avantipur temple was one that was dedicated to Lord Vishnu and was built by the King Avantivarman. The temple complex is in ruins but nevertheless frequented by the devout. Check in at the hotel will be followed by a hot lunch. After relaxing in the hotel in the afternoon you will be taken to the market by 4:30pm where you can do some shopping. The return shuttle to the hotel will be at 6:30 pm. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Pahalgam.

DAY: 4 Pahalgam

After your Breakfast you can visit the Betaab valley which is situated at a walk-able distance from Pahalgam. It often serves as a base camp for trekkers and mountaineers. The valley got its name from a Bollywood movie of the same name that was shot there. It will be a delight to see the crystal clear, chilly water of the stream. This valley is also the mouth of the River Sheshnag.  Lunch and dinner will be served at the hotel. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY: 5 Srinagar

After breakfast you will checkout of your hotel and proceed to Srinagar. The travelling distance is 96 Kms and will take you three hours. As soon as you arrive you will be taken to the Shankaracharya hill temple and the Mughal gardens. The Shankaracharya temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is built on a summit that stands 1000 feet above the city of Srinagar. There are three gardens namely, Chashme Shahi, Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. These were designed during the reign of the Mughal dynasty. The obsession that the Mughals had with the symbols can be seen in the layout and design of these gardens. Lunch and dinner will be served at your hotel. The overnight stay will be at the hotel in Srinagar.

DAY: 6 Sonamarg

After your breakfast from the hotel you will travel to Sonamarg, ‘the golden meadow’.  It is situated at a height of 2740 meters. Since it is nestled beneath the Himalayan Peaks, you will be able to catch a glimpse of glaciers and a few Himalayan peaks. During the summer, ponies can be hired that will take you up to the Thajiwas glacier, very popular destination among tourists. Baltal is yet another excursion that is 15 Kms north of Sonamarg. Lunch will be served in the local restaurant. You will return to Srinagar in the evening where you will be served dinner. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Srinagar.

DAY: 7 Departure

All good things have to come to an end and it is time to say goodbye to Kashmir. After your breakfast you will be transferred to Srinagar airport. Please note that it is imperative that you leave for the airport at least 4 hours before your flight. There are 4 security barriers to pass before you reach the airport and there is also the possibility of traffic jams along the way.
