Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Cochin
Upon your arrival at Kochi International airport on the first day of your Kerala beach tour, you would be warmly received by our executives. You will be assisted in lodging in a comfortable hotel. Stay at the hotel overnight.
Day 2: Cochin – Alleppey / 65 Kms – 02 Hrs drive
Begin your journey to the small but charming town of Alleppey. The town is famous for beautiful water bodies and blue lagoons. You can hire traditional houseboats called ‘Kettuvallam’ for your Kerala beach tour. These houseboats are unique in South India as they are made only out of jack wood planks, coir ropes, and black resins. Black resin is produced as a byproduct when cashew nut shells are boiled. These houseboats, made out of jack wood planks are tied with coir ropes coated with black resin. This unique way of making a houseboat is a major attraction of Alappuzha (Alleppey). You can hire a boat and roam around in the backwaters enjoying seeing locals engaged in traditional works. Simply relax and enjoy these innovative floating cottages. You would also see boats selling edibles. Spend your day on the floating cottage enjoying traditional Kerala cuisines during lunch. Stay overnight on the houseboat and enjoy the experience of sleeping in the midst of backwaters!
Day 3: Alleppey – Varkala / 120 Km – 03 Hrs Drive
Now move to Varkala, a scenic place where hills and nearby sea meet each other. This presents a magnificent view to the visitors. The presence of a number of natural springs is a great attraction here. All this has made Varkala one of the most favored tourist destinations. As part of our Kerala beach tour enjoy strolling on clean beaches, whispering in the cool breeze, or just soak in the beauty and the arresting silence of the place.
Day 4: Varkala
On the fourth day of our Kerala beach tour, we will visit saint Sree Narayana Guru’s ashram, called Siva Giri Mutt. You can see the saint’s personal objects here. Located near the mutt is Sharada temple which has statues of goddess Saraswathi established by Guru Sree Narayana. We will also visit the 200-year-old Lord Vishnu temple, called ‘Janardhana Temple’. The temple displays idols of Hanuman also. The temple’s main bell has a historical significance attached to it as it was presented by the Dutch captain in the 17th century.
Day 5: Varkala
Relieve yourself of tiredness and enjoy an Ayurvedic massage on Varkala beach on the fifth day of your Kerala beach tour. You can also enjoy water sports activities and relish the traditional Kerala delicacies on the beach during your stay in Varkala.
Day 6: Varkala – Kovalam / 60 km -1 ½ Hr Drive
Drive to the Kovalam beach. The beach presents a magnificent view of the world’s superb three crescent-shaped beaches. The beach is hundreds of meters long and is ideal for swimming lovers. It is one of the finest centers of Ayurvedic massages and is the best leg of the Kerala beach tour.
Day 07: Kovalam – Kanyakumari – Kovalam / 100 km – 2 Hrs Drive (One way)
We will move to Kanyakumari, the historic and religiously one of the most significant places of South India. It is the southernmost part of India which presents a panoramic view to the tourists. There is a historic temple devoted to the virgin goddess Kumari Amman. The goddess is believed to have eliminated evil and restored order. You can later enjoy pleasure boating to the grand Thiruvalluvar Statue. He was a famed Tamil poet who preached high values and traditionalism. There is a huge statue standing tall at 400 m and weighing 7000 tons. Most significantly, it is located offshore. The statue stands as one of the finest examples of Dravidian architecture. A little offshore is the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial where the great scholar and philosopher Swami Vivekananda lived before going to attend the historic and famous World Religions Conference in Chicago. Swami Vivekananda was the founder of the Ramakrishna Mission in India.
Next is the Gandhi Memorial which is built in the Orissa temple style of architecture. The special feature of the monument is that sunlight falls directly on the stone on Gandhiji’s birthday, i.e. 2nd of October. After the splendid tour, you can enjoy the famous sunrise and sunset view of Kanyakumari. The place is known far and wide because of the special sunset view it presents to the tourists. Tourists come here specifically to watch the great sunset. The bedazzling view of sunset would transport you to another world. Tourists throng the place each day just to watch this great view. It is truly a spectacular view that nobody would want to miss. After a great evening, move to your room in the hotel and enjoy the sumptuous dinner.
Day 8: Kovalam – Trivandrum – Departure / 30 Min drive
This will be the last day of your Kerala beach tour. You are sure to have enjoyed the splendid beauty of nature in Kerala. The rolling hills, beautiful sea beaches, dense evergreen forests, crescents, backwaters, and other allures of the region would have an invigorating effect on you. On the last day, you would be shifted to the airport with the assistance of our tour executives. Later in the day, you would fly away to your home with sweet memories of your Kerala beach tour.
