Himalayan Nature Park is created by the Himachal Forest Department which is located on top of Kufri Just 16 kms away from Shimla. Himalayan Musk Deer is a natural Habitat famous there. The Manali Sanctuary is around 31.80 sq – km of area and is situated in the Kullu district where the nearest town is Manali. Bandli Sanctuary is in Sundernagar town which is 7 kms away and is in Mandi district. The population of the Sanctuary has a small number of animals like leopard and Chir pheasant. Earlier the area was a protected forest. The other animals found here are common Palm civet, Goral, Rhesus Macaque, Himalayan Black Beer, Barking Deer, and Indian hair.

The complete land over which this entire sanctuary stand is about sixteen thousand seven hundred and forty hectares. The wild animals which can be seen here are Brown dear, Barking Deer, Goral, Black Bear of Himalaya, prevalent flying Squirrel, blue sheep, yellow Marten of Himalaya & Himalayan Weasel. To roam inside the sanctuary there are inspection paths and bridle paths. Before roaming inside the sanctuary, one thing you should do is find assistance, from the forest staff that is located at Sarahan and Doda. It is the best place if you want to refresh your body by trying some adventure, because it is a favorable place for Trekking on high mountains.

You will be actually amazed by seeing such colorful and wild animals, but when you hang out inside the sanctuary be aware of the black bear. Pin Valley National Park

Himachal Pradesh`s Pin valley National Park is located in Lahaul Spiti district. This is another national park, situated in Himachal Pradesh. This is a house of various scarce animals like Tibetan gazelle, wooly hare & snow Leopard. Before reaching this place, be prepared with winter clothes because it is located in a very cold region, the complete area is like a cold desert. This wildlife sanctuary was registered on January 9, 1987. It was stretched over sixty seven thousand five hundred hectares area. The wild fauna which you will get to see here are Tibetan Gazelle, Snow Leopard, Indian red fox, Himalayan Marmot, Wooley Hare, Hodgsoris Porcupine, wolf and Blue sheep. In this area, you will see Ibex’s herds and Bharal. Here you will also get to see the Snow Leopards. If you have strong lungs and leg muscles then only dare to enter inside this sanctuary, because you will be tired by seeing different corners of the sanctuary but this wonderful sanctuary won’t get over. The authority of Pin Valley National Park doesn’t allow the entry of foreigners; even the Indian tourists need proper permission to enter, that’s why first get the permission for entry then only start your journey towards the sanctuary.

The Kaza village has become completely crowded due to hotels, shops and houses; but it is beneficial for tourists like you. You will easily get hotels and resorts here for staying such as Hotel Sharma, Ladakhi Hotel, Milarepa’s Guesthouse, Hotel City, etc.

Simbalbara Sanctuary

Simbalbara Sanctuary of this state is situated in Sirmaur Districts Paonta Valley. The complete area of Simbalbara has been bounded by delightful wide Sal forests along with glowing glades. Maybe it is a most beautiful and splendor place, which comes under the Shivalik hills. In this area, you will also find a permanent stream. You will easily find Sambar, Goral, and Chital in this sanctuary in a huge amount. In the closed area of Simbalbara Sanctuary, there is a walkable track. If you are planning to visit this sanctuary then, try to visit it during the winter season, because the view that you get here during this season, cannot be seen in any other season.

Chail Sanctuary

In 1976, 21st March, this sanctuary was reported; it is situated in Shimla district’s Chail village. Chail Sanctuary is stretched over ten thousand eight fifty-four hectares. Here you can see the Black bear of Himalaya, Goral, White-Silver Oak, Red deer, Sambar, Leopard, Barking Deer, Rhesus Macaque, Throated Marten, prevalent Giant, Indian Hair, Indian Porcupine, Chir Pheasants, etc. In the year of 1988, the treatment program and Chir Pheasant propagation began. In the Jhajjar and Blossom Chir Pheasant propagation center, tourists like you are always welcome. At Dawn and Dusk, you will surely get an opportunity to meet the Kalijin and Barking deer. This is a nice place to practice trekking to Jhaja from Chali, to Gaura from Chali. Here you will get to see the pleasant and beautiful view of colorful wildlife and white peaks.

Gobind Sagar Sanctuary

Now you have reached the next wildlife sanctuary of Himachal Pradesh which is Gobind Sagar Sanctuary. This sanctuary is located in a different place, it comes under the district of Mandi and Bilaspur; from Bilaspur village, it is very near. You have to get ready to explore such a huge stretched sanctuary because it is almost ten thousand thirty-four hectares, so before entering inside the sanctuary charge your body. This is a very old wildlife sanctuary, which got registered on 1962 December 5; after this, it was again registered on March 27`1974. This entire abode of wild animals is under the maintenance and protection of the Bhakra Management Board. After getting inside the sanctuary, you will be warmly welcomed by various numbers of hosts such as Mrigal, Catla, Singhara, Topra, Jhalli, Silver Crap, Chilwa, Grass crap, Gid and Misror crap, etc.
