The temple of Yamunotri is situated in Uttarakhand, a complete days journey from Uttarakhand major city — Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun. Housing at the temple is restricted to a small number of ashrams and guest-houses. Yamunotri Yatra Tour Itinerary:
The blessed holy place of Yamunotri Yatra, which is the basis of the river Yamuna, is the westernmost place of worship in the Garhwal Himalayas. The definite basis a frozen lake of ice & glacier (Champasar glacier) is to be found on the Kalind peak at the elevation of 4421 m over sea level, about 1 km more up, is not recurrent normally as it is not easily reached and hence the holy place has been situated on the base of the hill. The approach is tremendously hard and pilgrims therefore present Pooja at the temple itself.
Day 1: Delhi – Haridwar (230 kms/6hrs)
Make a drive to Haridwar from Delhi on the way take a lunch. Afterward, drive to Haridwar move to your Hotel. Take some rest and then Visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti in the evening. Return to your hotel for Dinner & Night bring to an end.
Day 2: Haridwar – Syanachatti (240kms/7hr)
In the early morning leave for Syanachatti on the route of Mussoorie. On the way separate from main road to Lakahamandal and visit the earliest temple which is devoted to Lord Shiva. After Darshan go for your main destination & move to Hotel at Syana Chatti.
Day 3: Syanachatti – Yamunotri – Syanachatti (12kms drive & 7 Kms trek each side)
Next morning make a Drive to Phool Chatti, from where the trek will start to Yamunotri. Here, one can prepare rice which is packed in cloth with tight node and leave it in the hot water of the Surya Kund. Pilgrims can take this rice to home as a Prasad. After taking a holy bath in the Jamunabai Kund visitors go for Darshan of Yamunotri and after it back to Hanumanchatti, and make a drive to Syanachatti.
Day 4: Syanachatti – Hardwar (240kms/7hr)
Make a drive to return to Haridwar, move to Hotel, for night stay.
Day 5: Haridwar – Delhi (230kms/6hr)
In the morning go for Haridwar neighborhood view seeing. After it leave for Delhi where drop at Railway Station/Airport.
